Please don’t destroy my dreams and my life.
It depends on how you spend your life and what you do between the ages of 15 and 20. In this age, you must hold on to books. If a person has no leg, the world calls him disabled or handicapped. If someone has no hand, he is called handicapped. If someone has one eye missing, he is also called handicapped. But if you do not gain education in life, then your life itself is handicapped.
You may have a lot of money. You may be the son of a rich father. You may inherit tens of millions or even billions in your bank account. But if you have not taken education in your life, then your life is handicapped. Your grandfather may leave a lot of wealth behind, but success is not in money. Success is in education.
Success is in manners.
Success is in discipline.
Success is in patience.
You may have money and power. If someone fights with you, you have the power to hit him. You are so rich that even the police may not question you. But when you follow the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him), when you show patience and forgive, then you are the most powerful person in the world. Being able to take revenge but choosing to forgive — this is what education teaches.
Business gives money, but education gives manners.
You have every right to earn money, but if you earn without education, you will become a handicapped businessman. Even your future business should be done with education. Spend 25 years of your life in books, not only in business. Some fathers worry about their business and force their children into work at a very young age. But Allah is better than all planners. Allah designs our lives — not our parents.
Parents should not worry too much about their children’s future. Even if you eat one meal a day, let your child spend 25 years in schools and colleges, learning skills. Otherwise, the coming generation will be badly affected.
Let me tell you two words: Life and Career.
Animals also have life — but no career. Only human beings have careers. A career means earning certificates, learning skills, building character, earning medals, growing, being promoted, becoming an achiever.
Sadly, 90% of people don’t even know what a career is. Millions of children go to school, but they don’t know why. They go to college, but they don’t know why. They become happy just by getting certificates. But success is not in certificates — success is in knowledge. Deep knowledge. Until you go deep, you cannot become a scientist or an achiever.
After spending 20 years in classrooms, people still don’t become successful. Why? Because they don’t focus. A human cannot focus more than seven minutes. The mind is in mobile phones, games, hotels, cricket.
Let me give an example.
Virat Kohli is one of the best cricketers in the world. When he comes to bat, his girlfriend (now wife) Anushka Sharma is sitting in the stadium. The bowler is in front, and she is on the side. Where should his eyes be — on the bowler or on the girlfriend? If he looks at her even once, his wicket will fall.
In the same way, when you sit in class, you are standing on the pitch for eight hours. To score a century, you must keep your eyes on the bowler — not distractions. Only focused players become stars.
Students today are crazy about girlfriends, games, phones. Their bodies are in class, but their minds are elsewhere.
An umpire watches the batsman carefully — no-ball, LBW, every detail. If students focus like an umpire in school, I swear you will become global leaders, InshaAllah.
The real power is focus.
One time I asked students what is needed to succeed. They said:
-
Knowledge
-
Confidence
-
Money
-
Talent
-
Skills
-
Energy
-
Power
I said all are wrong.
First, a person needs right direction.
In prayer, we ask Allah to guide us to the straight path. Because it is possible to have knowledge, money, and energy — but still go astray if your direction is wrong.
Your energy is being used on fights, gangs, girls, games. That means your direction is wrong. If your direction becomes right, you will succeed.
Your youth is an investment. Invest it in the right place.
Parents only want one thing — your success.
No matter how big you become, if your parents are unhappy, Allah will not be happy with you.
Many people earn millions abroad while their old parents cry alone at home. Even if you place the Taj Mahal in front of a mother, it will mean nothing to her if her child is not with her. Her child is her Taj Mahal.
Remember this:
If you raise your hand on your parents today, tomorrow your children will raise their feet on you.
You cannot succeed without the prayers of your parents.
Today children love movie stars, cricketers, and heroes — but not their own parents who work 365 days for them. Mothers work without holidays. Eid, vacations, sickness — they never rest.
When Virat Kohli goes to bat, the whole country watches him.
But when you go to write your exam paper, only your parents watch you.
For your father, you are his Virat Kohli.
He dreams that you will score a century in Maths, in Science, in life. But many children never give their parents a single moment to clap for them.
Give your parents one reason to clap.
Decide today:
We will make our parents happy in their lifetime.
Today many parents die in worry because their children never settle.
One respected scholar’s father is in ICU, yet the son is traveling village to village to wake up youth. That is sacrifice. That is direction.
My message to all young people:
Work hard. Hold books tightly.
One hand in the Quran, one hand in modern education — and you will shine like the moon on this earth, InshaAllah.
Hate is bad — do not keep it.
Remove hatred from your hearts.
This country is not yours or mine — it belongs to all of us.
Protect it.
